Hayden has signalled his intention to continue expanding the sphere of operations of his embryonic mainline rail steam charter business, HF Railtours, in the most positive of ways.
Firstly a Merseyside Tornado Liverpool - London and return followed by an eagerly awaited maiden trip for the A1 over Beattock, to Glasgow Central and return, with the Caledonian Tornado.
Mr Fortune is a level headed Yorkshire farmer ‘come rail tour operator’ and intends to break ‘new ground’ by using Liverpool South Parkway as the Saturday October 2nd Merseyside Tornado’s start and finish point, a first for steam!
The Hayden Fortune formula for steam hauled mainline specials is from first hand experience based on providing his passengers with not just a memorable journey in comfortable top quality rolling stock but in presenting a Fine Dining experience in both Pullman Style Dining and First Class Plus sections of his trains.
The on train menus are chosen personally by Hayden and, in an agreement with his caterer, they feature only the Best of British produce.
